The Challenge
Alfred Tang’s photography is a powerful blend of emotional depth, romance, and moodiness. The challenge was to create a web presence that reflected the timeless, evocative nature of his images while offering a seamless and visually striking browsing experience.
The Solution
Alfred wanted his website to feel timeless—something that would stand the test of time and complement the depth of his photography. To achieve this, I chose a bold, black background to create a dramatic backdrop that would allow his images to truly shine. This rich, dark canvas amplifies the moodiness and emotional impact of his work, drawing visitors’ attention to the intricacies of his photography.
To reinforce the sense of timelessness, I selected a minimal, elegant font that has a classic feel, ensuring the design would remain sophisticated and relevant for years to come. For color accents, Alfred requested a muted gold to bring in a touch of luxury and refinement, along with a deep red to honor his Chinese heritage—a color rich in symbolism and representing good fortune.
