The Challenge
As a photographer specializing in inclusivity and diversity, I’ve always aimed to showcase the warmth, beauty, and timelessness of my subjects, whether they’re couples on their wedding day, clients celebrating their brand, or individuals embracing their culture. Since 2016, I’ve been lucky enough to serve clients across the Pacific Northwest and beyond, capturing moments that celebrate all skin tones and cultures.
However, while my photography spoke for itself, my website wasn’t quite capturing the essence of my work. I wanted a site that felt as elevated and timeless as the images I create, but also reflected the modern, slightly edgy spirit that I bring to my photography. I needed something that not only felt like me but also communicated the warmth and depth that defines my visual style.
The Solution
To create a website that truly represented my work, I focused on blending the romantic, timeless aspects of my photography with a contemporary edge—a little like a mezcal old fashioned. I wanted the design to be a modern take on a classic, offering the perfect balance of elegance and boldness.
I carefully selected colors, textures, and typography that would complement the warm, true-to-tone color palette in my photography, ensuring that my images were always the focal point. The layout was streamlined and minimalist, making navigation simple without detracting from the beauty of my portfolio. Each page was designed to highlight the diversity and depth of my work, allowing my photography to shine through in an engaging, elevated way.
